1Does Plug N Dike work with all chemicals?
It works well with hydrocarbons (fuels, solvents, paints) and many water-based chemicals. It is not recommended for strong acids, caustics and oxidizers. See information on the Acid Kit for these applications.

2Does it harden into a seal?
No, Plug N Dike is intended as an immediate temporary seal. For a longer-term seal, use the Plug N Patch Kit, which uses an epoxy patch over the Plug N Dike.

3At what pressure and temperature does it work?
The Plug N Dike will plug a leak of about 3 feet of head (1.5 psi) even if the liquid is flowing out. The regular Plug N Dike works down to about 33 degrees F, and with the special antifreeze mixed in, down to about zero. If Leak Lock is used, after curing, it can handle much a much greater range of pressures and temperatures.

4What size hole will it plug?
It has been used to plug a 6-inch diameter hole and a slit 1-inch by 2-feet.

5Can the Drain Cover be made in different sizes?
Yes, custom sizes can be made to meet your specific requirements.

6What is the absorption capacity of UNI-SAFE?
UNI-SAFE will absorb just about all liquid chemical spills. The absorption varies by chemical: one pound of UNI-SAFE will absorb about 1 gallon of a concentrated acid or base, or 1-1.5 gallon of solvent or fuel. It will also absorb bodily fluids at about 1:40 by weight ratio.

7Does UNI-SAFE react with any chemicals?
No, it does not create any reaction when absorbing chemicals. So it is very safe to use without worrying if you have the right absorbent for the chemical spilled.

8Does Uni-Safe absorbent neutralize the spilled chemical?
No, because it is designed to not cause any dangerous reaction with chemicals. If it neutralized at the same time as absorbing, then there would be a significant reaction. It is much safer to neutralize after the spill is controlled.
